  I would first like to start of by saying that I love my son more than anything in this world and his well being and health is and will always be my first priority. I would also like to add that I can be and will be a fierce mama bear to protect my son and make sure he is well taken care of. This Doctor and his nurse did not take good care of my son. The Dr Friedman saw him for less than five minutes after his consultation the Dr referred him to CHLA. A couple days later I called the office with a concern about my sons eye and to follow up on the referral. They prescribed him and antibiotic for pink eye (he doesn't even have an eye infection he has a clogged tear duct) and the instructions for the dosage stated "as needed" I was baffled by the "as needed" so I asked the pharmacist and he stated that never had a doctor prescribed an antibiotic as "as needed". So I called the office for some clarification and that's when things got interesting. The office nurse had no idea what she was talking about, she kept on contradicting her self and kept on putting me on hold when I questioned her dosage. She told me administer in in both eyes, then said, no just one eye and going back to both eyes. Then she said to administer it for a couple of days... (seriously people!) I told her a couple of days can be two days or four days of five days, you need to tell me how many days. She caved in and said four or five days. The doctor gave him two refills of antibiotics. I asked for a second medical opinion with a Pediatrician who advised me not to administer the medication to my son. Not to mention that they referred him to Children's Hospital to see another specialist and this office told me that they would submit the referral right away, it took them a whole week to submit it. I know this because I called my sons medical group to find out exactly what day it was submitted. I don't doubt he is a great doctor and that his staff and nurse are competent and have the best intentions but I may have just caught them on a series of bad days.
